Pure?

James 1:26-27
26If anyone among you[b] thinks he is religious, and does not bridle his tongue but deceives his own heart, this one's religion is useless. 27Pure and undefiled religion before God and the Father is this: to visit orphans and widows in their trouble, and to keep oneself unspotted from the world.
Is our religion doing this? Is what we are taught in church resembling these things? or are we just empty words...God desires of us his servants to be something so much more than what we are. He desires of us to be Doers of the Word not just hearers... he wants us to help the sick and needy not leave them to their own, he wants us to teach his words to all people, he wants us to lift His name above all others. are we doing this? or are we just going through empty motions heating seats in our churchs while people are suffering and dying out side of our doors....we must become the church we were created to be, otherwise for what purpose is the church here? we were not given Christ to tell people how unworthy they are we were given Christ to show people how much Christ loves us, and how grateful we are to have Him in our hearts and lives...God is good lets share His love with others...lets do things to help the widows, orphans, the sick, and the lost as well..lets become the church that we are supposed to be.
